Bok! (That’s “hi” in Croatian)

It turns out I suck at blogging! I’m running about a year behind. Good job, me. So I guess I might publish some back-dated stuff over time. Maybe not. We’ll see.

But back to the point: we are in Croatia! We sailed here from Corfu a couple weeks ago. We had a mad rush in Corfu to get the boat ready for a proper sail – we were on a strict deadline thanks to Brexit. We made it: we left EU waters on the last day of our Schengen allowance.

The colour of the water on the Dalmation coastline is exquisite

We had our friend Björn with us (from SY Duffy) which made the journey a lot less stressful and tons more fun that it would’ve been otherwise. We took a leisurely four days to tack back and forth across the southern Adriatic, meandering towards Dubrovnik. Well. The words meandering and leisurely make it sound like it was smooth sailing all the way when actually we had some fairly sporty sailing and one or two hair-raising moments, but we made it safely without too many things breaking!

This marina we’re in for the winter is a little jewel

We’re booked into a marina near Dubrovnik to see out winter. We have a few important boat jobs we need to do over the next few months, which I’ll write more about in another post.
